Dan Hinz has been a longtime member and leader for the SLO County Golf Club. He has served as the Secretary, Handicap Chairman, Website coordinator, Club Championship officiate, and Raffle Manager. In addition to all of these functions and more, Dan also coordinated a two day golf outing in the Monterey area for many years. The Board approved a resolution to honor Dan by naming this trip for him.

This annual two-day tournament is held in February. The specific dates and courses each year are listed in the Club Calendar. We typically play the first day at the Pacific Grove Municipal course in Pacific Grove. The second day's game will be at any of various courses in the area. In the past, these have included Bayonet, Black Horse, Laguna Seca, Rancho Canada, Monterey Pines, and Salinas Fairways.

Members will be notified by email regarding on how to sign up, green fees and how to remit payment. The courses require payment in advance with a single check, so participants must send in their payment to the designated tournament coordinator by a prescribed date prior to the event.

Members are responsible for their own housing, but many choose to stay at the same hotel. In the past we have been able to reserve a block of rooms at a favorable rate. Hotel details will be provided with the emailed tournament notice.
